Allegan County Fair tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a fun blast from the past and a good time for all ages? The Allegan County Fair is one of those classic summer events you just can't miss. Since 1853, this fair has been a staple of the community, bringing folks together for rides, livestock shows, live entertainment, and, of course, tons of food that makes your arteries groan just thinking about it. The fair’s been celebrating its history with a costume parade since 1990, and it’s pretty much a sight to see, colorful outfits, lively music, and a real sense of local pride. In 2026, they marked their 170th anniversary with extra special events and a few surprises that kept everyone talking. If you’re into baking, you’ll love the longstanding baking contest that’s been going since 1960, yeah, decades of folks showing off grandma’s secret recipes or maybe just experimenting with new ones. The grounds are super accessible, with ground level seating so you can get close to the action, and if you’re lucky enough to snag premium seats, you’ll get a killer view plus some cool perks. You can even take the Allegan River to the fairgrounds or just hop in your car and cruise up Blue Star Highway. Honestly, the Allegan County Fair is a true gem, fun, friendly, and full of surprises, whether you’re there for the rides, the shows, or just to soak in that perfect small-town vibe. Trust me, you’ll leave with a full belly and a bunch of stories to tell.
